The center will serve all of Moore County in helping those seeking recovery resources.
The mission is to be a safe, welcoming environment for person who have substance use disorder to find support and information for their healthy recovery journey. Drug Free Moore County supports all pathways to recovery.
Hours are limited as we slowly open during continued Covid-19 restrictions. Hours are Tuesday 10-2pm, Wednesday 10-2pm and Fridays 8-12pm for the Medicated Assisted treatment through Integrated Pain Solutions.
Peer Support – one on one support with someone who have lived experience to assist in developing a recovery plan ( can be done virtual or one on one appointment).
Family Support – groups either virtual or in person will be developed this summer to help family members with information to help understand substance use and recovery.
Alternative Support – community garden, yoga, art and sewing classes all planned as Covid-19 restrictions lift.
Renewal Solutions – is medicated assisted treatment program which is managed through Integrated pain solutions.
All programs and information is free except for the Medicated Assisted Treatment which accepts medicaid, private insurance and private pay.

Drug Free Moore County is pleased to announce the opening of Moore ReCreations, A Community Recovery Center in Carthage. Moore ReCreations has NC Certified Peer Support specialist to work with those seeking recovery from substance use. Moore ReCreations will also house a Medicated Assisted Treatment program through Integrated Pain Solutions as well as Moore Pre Trial Services.
There will be support groups along with the Peer Support programs to provide much needed guidance to those seeking recovery resources.
In order to market the community recovery center, Moore ReCreations and to celebrate recovery month, Drug Free Moore County will be hosting an Open House and Run/Walk for Recovery on Saturday September 25, 2021, 8:00 to 11:00am. The theme for the day will be “Walk out of darkness into Hope”. There will be a 5k route for runners and walkers in downtown Carthage starting at the Moore ReCreations. Treatment vendors and Food Trucks will be available too.
Drug Free Moore County would like to invite you to help us sponsor this awesome event as well as help to continue providing much needed support to those on a journey of recovery and renewed health.
Donations will go to purchasing educational supplies, funding additional Peer Support Staff and providing much needed support groups and activities.
