Moore county Youth Services provides a program called the adventure challenge ropes course. They learn risk-taking, trust, communication and listening skills, and how to support each other This program is for groups such as youth groups, church groups, and professional groups. Free

TEEN COURT
Teen court is where attorneys, bailiff, clerk and jurors are youth who are in the 8th thru 12th grade. Teen Court hears real cases that have been diverted from juvenile court. This is an educational program for young people to learn how system of justice works by participating in the process. Free

A Pre-Natal Clinic maintains informational programs for women throughout their pregnancy regarding alcohol/drug effects.

MOORE FAMILY CONNECTIONS

MFC is a family skills program. It consists of 7 to 14 weekly skill-building sessions for parents and child. Skills covered include setting goals, dealing with stress and emotions, communication skills, responsible behavior, and how to deal with peer pressure.

North Carolina State Oxford Houses:
Oxford Houses are a clean and sober housing option for individuals in recovery. There are 232 houses in North Carolina, with locations in 30 cities. Individuals typically enter an Oxford House after completing a drug and alcohol treatment program. Contact: 919-247-7831

BETHANY HOUSE/BETHESDA,INC
Both houses are privately owned, one for females and one for males. These programs provide group counseling, AA/NA meetings and assistance in obtaining employment. Residents need to be drug free and working on their recovery.

Alcohol Anonymous (AA)
AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
